Help with Ouch is Fabric.

Ouch is Fabric is a talking-button messaging app — conversations are made of tapped buttons voiced by a vintage speech synthesizer. If something isn't working, the answers below cover the most common questions. Still stuck? Email us.

Notifications aren't coming through

Open Settings → Notifications in the app. If it says "Off," tap to enable. If your phone's system settings have notifications turned off for Ouch is Fabric, the app will point you there — turn them on, then reopen the app.

I got a new phone / lost my friend code

Your friend code lives on your device. To carry it to a new phone, sign in with Apple, Google, or an email link (Settings → Account → Connect account) on your old device, then sign in with the same account on the new one — your code and conversations come with you.

Restoring a purchase

Open the Store tab and tap Restore Purchases. Anything you bought with your Apple ID or Google account will be reinstated.

Daily message limit

There's a free daily allowance of taps. If you run out, you can buy a top-up from the Store tab, or wait — the allowance resets each day.

Deleting your account

Settings → Delete account permanently removes your friend code and conversations from every device. This can't be undone.
