Ouch is Fabric is built by Spencer Poisseroux ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and what we do with it. We've designed the app to need as little data as possible.
What we collect
- Friend code — a 10-character random identifier generated on your device when you first open the app. It's not tied to your name, email, phone number, or any other personal information.
- Nickname & emoji — short display name and avatar emoji you choose. Friends see them in the chat header. You can change or clear these at any time in Settings.
- Conversation membership — when you add a friend, we record that the two friend codes are connected so messages can be relayed between them. We do NOT store the content of any message.
- Daily message count — a per-day counter used to enforce the free-tier daily quota. Resets nightly at UTC midnight.
- Device push token — Apple / Google push notification token, stored so we can deliver notifications. Erased when you turn off notifications.
- Anonymous install ID — a random hexadecimal identifier generated at first launch. Used to associate paid voice purchases with this install (so reinstalling doesn't lose your purchases) and to send anonymous usage events to PostHog IF you've opted in. Not linked to your friend code on any server.
What we do NOT collect or store
- Message history. Our server is a relay. Messages are delivered over real-time channels and stored only on the sender and recipient devices. After delivery, the server retains nothing.
- Your email, phone number, real name, contacts list, location, or device identifiers (IDFA / IDFV / Android Advertising ID).
- Browsing history, ad clicks, or any data sold to advertisers. There are no ads in Ouch is Fabric.
How we use what we collect
- Operating the app. Friend codes route messages. Push tokens deliver notifications. The daily counter enforces the quota.
- Crash reports (Sentry). If the app crashes we send the stack trace to Sentry to fix the bug. Friend codes and any text content are scrubbed from the payload before sending. You can disable crash reporting in Settings.
- Anonymous usage analytics (PostHog). Tracks events like "app opened", "button tapped", and "voice selected." Keyed on your install ID, never on your friend code. Disabled by default — opt-in only via the Settings toggle.
- Purchases (RevenueCat + Apple / Google). When you buy a voice pack or top-up, the App Store or Play Store handles payment. RevenueCat receives a receipt with your install ID (no friend code) so we can re-validate your entitlement on a future device.
How we share data
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the app:
- Supabase — hosts our database and real-time relay (US-East data center).
- Apple Push Notification service / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers notifications to your device.
- RevenueCat — validates In-App Purchase receipts. Receives install ID only.
- Sentry — receives scrubbed crash reports when something breaks.
- PostHog — receives anonymous analytics events IF you've opted in.
Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policy.
Children
Ouch is Fabric is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used the app and want their data removed, contact us at [email protected].
Your rights
- Delete your account. Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Permanently removes your friend code, conversation membership, and push token from our server.
- Opt out of analytics. Settings → Help improve the app.
- Disable notifications. OS Settings or in-app Settings.
- Access / export. Email us at [email protected] with your friend code and we'll send back everything we have associated with it.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and surface a notice in the app on next launch.

Ouch is Fabric は Spencer Poisseroux（以下「当方」）が開発・提供しています。本ポリシーでは、本アプリが収集するデータ、その目的、および取り扱いについて説明します。本アプリは、必要なデータが可能な限り少なくなるよう設計されています。
収集する情報
- フレンドコード — アプリを初めて開いたときに端末上で生成される、10文字のランダムな識別子です。氏名・メールアドレス・電話番号などの個人情報とは一切結び付いていません。
- ニックネームと絵文字 — あなたが選ぶ短い表示名とアバター絵文字です。チャット画面のヘッダーで友だちに表示されます。設定からいつでも変更・削除できます。
- 会話のメンバー情報 — 友だちを追加すると、メッセージを中継できるように2つのフレンドコードがつながっていることを記録します。メッセージの内容は一切保存しません。
- 1日のメッセージ数 — 無料プランの1日あたりの上限を管理するための、日ごとのカウンターです。毎日UTCの深夜0時にリセットされます。
- 端末のプッシュトークン — 通知を配信するために保存する Apple / Google のプッシュ通知トークンです。通知をオフにすると削除されます。
- 匿名のインストールID — 初回起動時に生成されるランダムな16進数の識別子です。有料ボイスの購入をこのインストールに紐付ける（再インストールしても購入が失われないようにする）ため、また、あなたが同意した場合に限り匿名の利用イベントを PostHog に送信するために使用します。サーバー上であなたのフレンドコードと結び付けられることはありません。
収集・保存しないもの
- メッセージ履歴。 当方のサーバーは中継役です。メッセージはリアルタイムチャンネルで配信され、送信者と受信者の端末にのみ保存されます。配信後、サーバーには何も残りません。
- メールアドレス、電話番号、本名、連絡先リスト、位置情報、端末識別子（IDFA / IDFV / Android 広告ID）。
- 閲覧履歴、広告のクリック、広告主に販売されるデータ。Ouch is Fabric に広告は一切ありません。
収集した情報の利用方法
- アプリの運営。 フレンドコードでメッセージを振り分け、プッシュトークンで通知を配信し、日ごとのカウンターで上限を管理します。
- クラッシュレポート（Sentry）。 アプリがクラッシュした場合、バグを修正するためにスタックトレースを Sentry に送信します。フレンドコードやテキストの内容は送信前にデータから除去されます。設定からクラッシュレポートを無効にできます。
- 匿名の利用解析（PostHog）。 「アプリ起動」「ボタンタップ」「ボイス選択」などのイベントを記録します。キーとなるのはインストールIDで、フレンドコードは使いません。初期状態では無効で、設定のスイッチでオンにした場合のみ有効になります。
- 購入（RevenueCat ＋ Apple / Google）。 ボイスパックやチャージを購入すると、App Store または Play ストアが決済を処理します。RevenueCat はインストールID付きのレシート（フレンドコードは含みません）を受け取り、将来の端末で利用権を再確認できるようにします。
データの共有方法
当方はあなたのデータを販売・貸与しません。アプリの運営に必要な以下のサービス提供者とのみ共有します。
- Supabase — データベースとリアルタイム中継をホストします（米国東部データセンター）。
- Apple プッシュ通知サービス / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — あなたの端末に通知を配信します。
- RevenueCat — アプリ内課金のレシートを検証します。受け取るのはインストールIDのみです。
- Sentry — 不具合が発生した際に、除去処理済みのクラッシュレポートを受け取ります。
- PostHog — あなたが同意した場合に限り、匿名の解析イベントを受け取ります。
これらの提供者は、それぞれ独自のプライバシーポリシーに基づいて運営されています。
お子様について
Ouch is Fabric は13歳未満のお子様を対象としていません。13歳未満の方からデータを意図的に収集することはありません。お子様が本アプリを利用し、そのデータの削除をご希望の場合は、[email protected] までご連絡ください。
あなたの権利
- アカウントの削除。 設定 → デンジャーゾーン → アカウント削除。フレンドコード、会話のメンバー情報、プッシュトークンをサーバーから完全に削除します。
- 解析のオプトアウト。 設定 → アプリの改善に協力する。
- 通知の無効化。 OS の設定、またはアプリ内の設定から行えます。
- アクセス／エクスポート。 フレンドコードを添えて [email protected] までメールいただければ、そのコードに紐付くすべての情報をお送りします。
本ポリシーの変更
重要な変更を行う場合は、冒頭の「最終更新日」を更新し、次回起動時にアプリ内でお知らせします。
